Concordia University Wisconsin-Ann Arbor School of Pharmacy at the Mequon, WI campus invites applications for one full-time faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, focused in psychiatric pharmacy practice. Pharmacy practice requirements will include the provision of pharmacy services at one of our affiliated practice partner’s sites.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and teaching within the pharmacotherapy series, teaching within the applied patient care (APC) skills laboratory series, teaching a behavioral health pharmacy elective course, and precepting students and residents in practice. Contributions in other teaching roles may be available depending on the interest and expertise of the candidate.
  • Provision of psychiatric pharmacy services at one of our affiliated practice partner’s sites
  • Peer-reviewed research and scholarship in the areas of practice, teaching, or another area relevant to the candidates’ experience and interest.
  • Service to the School, University, community and the profession
  • Curriculum development, revision and assessment; advising for PharmD students, and participation in student recruitment as assigned
  • All other responsibilities of CUWAA full-time faculty as outlined in the Faculty Handbook

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who have demonstrated dissemination of scholarship and have experience in academia and health system pharmacy practice.

Education & Experience

  • Must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a residency and/or fellowship or equivalent training related to the position.
  • Must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Wisconsin; if not already licensed in Wisconsin, the candidate would be expected to obtain a Wisconsin pharmacist license within communicated deadline(s).
  • Previous successful teaching experience in a PharmD program is preferred
  • Concordia University faculty must be members of Christian congregations. Preference is given to members of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
