A decade ago, the healthcare community was focused on reducing the impact of certain serious diseases, like Hepatitis C. Today, with the emergence of specialty medications, we think in terms of having the potential to cure those diseases.
But those advances come at a high price; and therapies to combat them can be complex and challenging to administer. It’s an environment that chain stores and mail order simply aren’t equipped to handle.
That’s why there’s Sterling, at the nexus of innovation and personalized care. We provide our specialty patients with high-touch, high-quality clinical care in a community pharmacy setting. The result? Better outcomes and a healthier community.
Company History
Although much has changed since Leonard Astrup opened his first pharmacy in Austin, MN, in 1952, one thing hasn’t: patient care is and always will be our top priority. Sterling continues to provide a wide range of clinical programs to patients in the 17 communities we serve; and through our affiliated companies, Sterling provides a model for innovative independent pharmacy practice nationwide.
Sterling Specialty was born of the need to fulfill the needs of these communities as specialty pharmacy grows.
